Alice broke her leg two months before her 22nd birthday. I was in England at the time with my parents, so Mark being Mark looked after her superbly. He brought her home. Our girl came home! What a great time we had. She helped Robert out with his homework. Helped me out around the house, helped Mark out in the garden, walked the dogs (once her leg was better!), getting her life back on track. She was here, here, here. She was getting help getting a good job. Yet her boyfriend was still in the Community Housing complex, as were her friends, and while she'd be here most weekdays on the weekends she was back there. That summer it was hot, and Alice, being a redhead, really felt the heat. Valentine's Day was looming, and Alice was excited because she felt that her boyfriend might ask her to marry him. She was also anxious because she didn't have much money and she wanted to get him a good gift. So after much discussion she decided to make him a little book containing photos and collages with words to try to capture how much she loved him. She finished the boook just before Valentine's day
